Analytics, cookies & third parties

Last updated

Prometheus Movie (https://prometheus-movie.com) is a static, editorial site. We don’t sell your personal data in a “data broker” sense, we don’t run accounts or comment boxes here, and we keep this page in plain language so you know what happens when you visit—including analytics and embedded third-party content.

Summary

  • We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic—roughly what pages load, from which regions, and on what devices.
  • Your browser may store cookies or similar data from Google for analytics and measurement.
  • We do not knowingly collect names, emails, or passwords on this site (there is no login).
  • Pages may load images or links from third parties (for example TMDB image hosts or IMDb). Those services have their own privacy policies.

Analytics (Google)

We load Google tag (gtag.js) with measurement ID G-NTZD2MKKPD. Google may process data such as approximate location, device type, referrer, and on-site behavior in aggregated form. We use these reports to see which essays or tools actually get read—not to build individual dossiers.

You can install a browser tracker blocker, use Google’s Analytics Opt-out Add-on (where available), or adjust ad/privacy settings in your Google account. Because this site is static, there is no separate cookie banner today; treating analytics as optional in your browser is the practical control.

Hosting & logs

The HTML, images, and assets you request are served by our hosting provider. Like virtually all hosts, they may keep short-lived server logs (for example IP address, timestamp, URL, and response code) for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use those logs to market to you.

Third-party sites & APIs

Some pages display cast photos or poster art resolved via TMDB at build time; your browser may still request those images from TMDB’s CDN when you load a page. Gallery stills link out to IMDb. Trailer links may open YouTube, which applies its own terms. Follow those services’ policies when you leave Prometheus Movie.

Children’s privacy

The film discussed on this site is rated R in the United States; the writing assumes an adult reader. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have received such information in error, contact the site operator so it can be removed where technically feasible.

Changes to this policy

When we add features that materially change what is collected—say, a newsletter or an embedded video player—we will update this page and bump the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
